PCCharge Client (by VeriFone, Inc.) is a legacy Windows-based payment application that enabled merchants to accept and process credit and debit card transactions from a PC or integrated point-of-sale (POS) system. It handled authorizations, captures, and batch settlements; supported both swiped (card-present) and keyed (card-not-present) transactions; and offered basic reporting and multi-merchant/account capabilities. Aimed at small to mid-sized retailers and service businesses, PCCharge Client operated as middleware between POS software and supported payment processors to streamline checkout and centralize transaction management.
Note on availability and support:
PCCharge, including PCCharge Client, has been discontinued and reached end of life in 2015. It no longer receives updates or security patches. Merchants should migrate to a current, supported payment solution recommended by VeriFone or their payment provider.
PCCharge Client is developed by VeriFone, Inc.. The most popular version of this product among our users is 5.7. The name of the program executable file is PCCWClient.exe.
